What do you people do for a living?

I'm away from a computer for awhile, and posting from my phone. Since I lack any means to give you rich and juicy content to enjoy, I want to ask something of you. What do you do for a living? Or if you're a student, what are you trying to do for a living? Or if you have no source of income and are not pursuing anything, just put "mom's basement."

To start off. I'm going for a B.S. in Civil Engineering and then an M.S. in Environmental Engineering. I also work a somewhat shitty part-time job.

What about you fine folks?

  1. I'm pretty much "Mom's basement" since I don't work and I'm not in education (through no choice of my own - trust me, I've been looking). HOWEVER, I don't live with my mum or any other family member, nor do I live in a basement. =/

  2. LIfe is hard sometimes. I've been through tough times myself but there are opportunities out there, believe me. Even through community college. A lot of them have job programs and employment fairs. No offense was meant :)

  12. These things you are going for, your 'BS'

What kinda job is that gonna land you? I work for my family, luckily they own a fairly small time corporate conglomerate known as 'Roof Doctor' in Washinton state.

I do whatever whenever I can. My skill level is journeyman and I can fill the role of a warehouseman if needed, open and supervise locked secure areas, and run the gambit of customer service and sales on the spot.

Doesn't pay well, but Christmas is always a boon

I myself am a professor of English language and literature, but I work as a book translator, translating bestsellers for the readers in my country.
I'm also a psychologist, a fashion and an interior designer.
